Once again, we took this project beyond painting.  Home owner Joyce needed her livingroom, foyer, and kitchen painted, and her livingroom trim to be replaced.

First, we had to get the working space ready for some action.  We moved the furniture and other items, and covered the floors with plastic and drop clothed where necesary.

After that, we started taking off the trim and carefully taking them out side.  Then we had to take off a wooden panel that covered 3/4 of the living room walls.  It was a thick layer of panel that was glued on top of the walls.  We oughta say, it was a challenge.

What was underneath the panel was just bunch of glue.  We tried using a solution but it was not working.  We scraped it off instead, and spackled over every path of glue.

We then started to place the trim.  While placing the trim, we also got the kitchen and foyer done with the first coat of paint on the walls.  When the spackle was dry enough, we had to sand it to a nice thin layer.  We then painted the livingroom walls, afer the first coat it was looking way different then the old wallpaper that was on it with the panel.  While the first coat was drying in the livingroom, we then second coated every wall we had to do.

Homeowner Joyce wanted the trim to be a white semi-gloss, so we painted all the trim 2 coats.  Because of the wooden panel and the trim, this project took as about 3 days to complete.
